"I have lived in Wateringbury with my husband and four children for 24 years. All four children attended the village school. After 18 years in the City, I ‘retired’ and began working with my husband setting up a small, successful family-run business. I also joined the Parish Council, and was Chair for a number of years, until just after the birth of my youngest. In that time, I successfully raised the funds to build our fantastic childrens’ play area, set up Speedwatch, as speeding was, and still is, a massive issue in the village, and set up and ran, with the help of others, a youth club, having identified that there was little for young adults to do in the village. These days I am a trustee of the Village Hall, and am chair of Maidstone Grammar School Parents’ Association. I am passionate about our village and am a firm believer that the more you put in to something, the more you will get out, so I hope that you will give me your support and allow me to serve our community."
