Since Tom was first elected in 2015, he has been working to secure a regular service on the Maidstone East line to London Bridge.
After years of setbacks, we finally have a permanent solution.
Last week Tom spoke in detail with Southeastern about the timetable changes in December. We are delighted this includes a new, hourly, service from West Malling and Borough Green to London Bridge and then Charing Cross.
The service will operate 6 days a week and will be more frequent than every hour in peak times. The journey time will also be under an hour, a significant improvement on what we have at the moment. The service will start on Monday 12 December.
We'd like to thank Tom, and everyone who has campaigned with him for this service over many years, and look forward to it being introduced in December.
