Very soon Tonbridge, Edenbridge and Malling Conservatives will start the process of identifying our candidates for the next round of local elections.
Great local councillors come in all shapes and sizes: some are driven by policy and philosophy, others want to begin a long term political career, but the best councillors are people who care about their local community and want to make it better.

We understand that for many it's a big step to take, so we have produced this short 3 minute video in which five of our newest local councillors from across Kent explain why they raised their hand and what motivated them to do so.

Later this year we will be organising a series of local events (about one hour long) to allow potential candidates an opportunity to hear from their local council leader and to chat informally to an incumbent councillor about their work in the community.
