ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING POINTS
We will be installing 32 electric vehicle charging points in Council run car parks this spring. This will be followed by a second phase later in the year as part of a wider rollout by Kent County Council. By the end of the year you will notice tens of charging points across Tonbridge and Malling.
Having easily available charging points is a huge step forward and will help all those with electric cars, and hopefully encourage more people to get one. It's vital as part of our own climate change strategy too. By working with Connected Kerb we are able to deliver this at no cost to the taxpayer.
The following car parks will have at least four chargers in as part of the first phase. They have been allocated as there is the appropriate power supply to provide the charging infrastructure:
- Bailey Bridge Road, Aylesford
- Bradford Street, Tonbridge
- Council offices, Kings Hill
- River Lawn Road, Tonbridge
- Sovereign Way North, Tonbridge
- Upper Castle Fields, Tonbridge
